J2Tymez is the son of Entrepreneurial Mogul, Deidra Collins and R&B Singer, G-Mar of Chicago, Illinois.​

J2Tymez was born in Highland Park, Illinois on November 6, 2007. He has two biological brothers on his mother's side  and two biological sisters (one on his mom's side and one on his dad's side) and is the youngest of them all. J2Tymez has a host of other siblings that may not be biological but blood could make them any thicker!

J2Tymez was born Jamar Willis, Jr and was given the nickname of "JJ" since he was a baby. His eldest brother, Isaiah Collins, has been named "Zay 2Times" as he is known for never giving a man a 3rd time to cross him in the sport of basketball. Zay 2Times has travelled the globe on many AAU teams and is known as one of the best point guards in Northern Illinois. With that being said, when his youngest brother wanted to take music seriously, they brainstormed ideas that made sense to keep the family name in sync!

Since J2Tymez has always been known as "JJ" and his brother is Zay 2Times... It made perfect sense to create the rap alias of J2Tymez.

Since J2Tymez was 2 years old he has been beat boxing, singing and entertaining anyone who would listen/watch. His parents always thought he would be a singer as he was known through 6th grade for his angelic voice and the ability to captivate a crowd. Then, in 2021, J2Tymez went to his mother and said he was no longer interested in singing, but he wanted to rap. His mother did not believe he was serious until she heard a song that he wrote on his own and performed it. She knew then that he was on to something big! Since then he has been recognized by some big names in the music industry. We won't show our hands just yet, but he's definitely up next... So don't blink!
